It feels to me as if there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. As we know Chalmers tends to go quiet when things aren’t going so well – remember 2017? We went from one c0ck up to another and there were no weekly columns in the T&A then.
As far as Odsal is concerned it looks at the end of its life. Look at the Touchdown and the portcabins, no way are they fit to use anymore. The terracing looks a bit dodgy in places as do some of the barriers. The old place is starting to look like Belle Vue.
Quote Scarey71="Scarey71"We know Odsal will be the death of us but I still don't see it being sorted as there are too many petulant character about..'"
Indeed. Chalmers, Rimmer and the Council don’t strike me as being the people to sort this one. The club are skint, the council are skint and the RFL are skint. Where's the money coming from?
So, we either stay and spend some non-existent money on it or look elsewhere? Looks like trouble afoot at BPA. Rent would be high at VP. There isn’t an obvious option.
As for the CCJ stuff there have been a few Twitter spats between various people which don’t make anyone look very good. Some people need to wind their necks in. The Bulls certainly aren’t the first or last club to get a CCJ. Unfortunately the recent history means the journos leap on our misfortunes more readily. I can’t really see why the club would allow CCJs to come about unless there is a cashflow issue or incredible back office incompetence. Frankly, it could be both. This is RL after all. IIRC Salford had a bunch of CCJs when Koukash was backrolling them.
