BullBuilder is pleased to announce the winners of the U19s players of the month for April and May 2019.
The April award goes to winger Ryan Butterworth sponsored by Paul Butterworth (no relation). Ryan, who comes from the Stanley Rangers community club is a winger who has impressed this season.
U19 Coach Leigh Beattie said “Ryan is a player that has been very consistent this season at wing, fullback and centre. His energy and enthusiasm have shone through along with his toughness and his willingness to get the job done and it’s for these reasons he wins the award for April. Going forward he is in his final year of U19s rugby now and just needs to keep doing what he’s doing now. In the long run his position may be as a winger and if he keeps working hard he’ll be hopefully playing reserve rugby league next season.
The May award goes to prop Anesu Mudoti, who is sponsored by the Red Amber and Black Forum at rlfans.com. Anesu comes from the Hunslet Warriors Community Club and was called up for the Yorkshire Academy side earlier this season.
Leigh Beattie said Anesu has been very hard working prop forward and has improved a lot over recent months. He’s got a great work ethic and has started to get noticed in the right places. This resulted in his selection for Yorkshire Academy. He’s got another year to go in the U19s and physically is starting to fill out and if he continues to work on his core skills he’ll kick on massively.”
BullBuilder chairman Paul Butterworth said “These two young men have been making names for themselves in the past few months thanks to the efforts they and the coaching staff are putting in. BullBuilder is delighted to reward them for those efforts.
Ryan and Anesu will receive their awards from their sponsors at the BullBuilder Annual Summer Ball on 7 June.
