| If Chisholm's (probably considerable) wage was to be spent on a quality fullback, moving Ryan back to the wing, would that really be a bad thing? I'd argue not.
If he's released and nothing done with the saving after reducing the amount of halfback options, then that would require some explanation (not that I'd expect to see any).

| No great loss. He hasn’t really been the same player since his knee injury. Capable of the odd bit of magic but not a man to put in a consistent performance leading a team around the field.
His possible departure and the fact that Keyes shows no sign of returning leaves us short. Flanagan being out with a broken thumb means Wildie and Hallas sharing hooker duties. Halfbacks will be Milnes, Lilley and Minchella. It’s a bit thin.

| If Dane is released to bring in a better halfback, where is that player coming from? I can’t think of any decent players that are free agents.

?????
I really wish there were some official stats taken in the lower leagues to prove how wrong this opinion is.
This team was just outplayed for 70 minutes by a patched up side playing a PROP FORWARD at stand off and you think losing Chisholm is no great loss? Keyes is done, Milnes is only a kid and Lilley isn't good enough. But yeah let's just sell one of the only skillful players in our squad
I can't wait to watch us play 5 drives and a kick for the rest of the season.

Cory Aston is no where near getting agame at Cas and Ryan Brierly well down the pecking order at Toronto. Not necessarily free agents but these are 2 that could be available

Ok, perhaps I over stated it. A fit Chisholm would probably get in the side before Milnes at the moment. However I’m not convinced he’s transform the side or anything. We hardly played champagne rugby with him in the side last year did we? If anything the side lacks decent attacking shape or any sort of plan in attack. I’m not sure Chisholm would improve that given that he’s an individual who tries to create for himself rather than for the team.
IMO Chisholm is a good individual but he can be a loose cannon, miss tackles and run down some blind alleys or go missing. I’m not sure stats for last year are much to go on really given the standard of the opposition. The fact that teams haven’t been falling over themselves to sign him speaks volumes.
Personally I think the loss of Keyes is the bigger blow. Whatever we think we do need a new halfback if we’ve lost them both as we can’t risk going into the rest of the season with just Lilley and Milnes.

| Chissy has probably been the biggest disappointment for me this season. I know..we ALL know, just what he's capable of but he simply hasn't delivered, or even given the impression that he's about to start delivering, so he won't be much of a loss to me. As stated above he's probably our biggest earner, so really needs to deliver more than he has.
Course, it could just be a load of tosh from the papers..

| I know he was offered to Hunslet but his salary demands were miles above what they were prepared to pay.

He's a scapegoat, used by you and many others. We've been rubbish even when he hasn't played.
Oh, and Webster will almost certainly be on more £££ than Chisholm.

| Confused about this Dane situation. Why would he have played in the reserves last week if we didn't have intention of getting him back fit to play?
I like him, he needs to be fighting for one of those half back positions with Milnes and Lilley. I have a feeli g they're going to come good.
