| Brilliant news about Elliot Minchella. He has been my favourite player to watch this year, always seems to be in the right place at the right time for scoring trys. It feels like we are building something special at the Bulls at the moment.
I’m glad to see Toronto sign their 6 new stars today. It means they continue to be serious about their project and getting to Super League and also makes them even bigger a target for all the other teams to want to beat.
It is going to be a great division in 2019 that’s for sure.

| Agree with all that’s been said about Minchella.
My vote for player of the year. Never had a bad game this Year, even when being shifted into and out of the halves earlier in the year.
Really looking forward to seeing him FT in the championship next year.

| Indeed, a great signing.
I hadn't twigged he wasn't even full time....my what some full time training could turn him into!
How old is he?
First name on team sheet for me and a player that wouldn't look out of place in SL, bright future for this guy

| Great news. As others have said, he's been been brilliant all year. I think we also forget how young he is, just 22, but already pretty experienced for his age. As he said, his best years are ahead of him and being FT will only help with that.
I too am getting excited, more long term than anything. Next year i think we have a free crack at the championship and see where we end up. We can just enjoy it. The season after though is when i think things get interesting. Toronto are nailed on for going up next year IMO Jon Wilkin is the type of player they missed this year and i expect Rowley to move on. With the big money spenders gone, god knows what state Widnes will be in, we will have a settled squad, plenty of HG Bradford players, who about to enter their prime. Sure we'll have another academy product off the John Bastian production line who breaks through like an Ethan Ryan, Matty Storton etc.

| Was Minichella on a full time deal when he played with Leeds, Salford and London?

| Amazing news. A player the side could and should be built around for years to come. I am with everyone else in terms of consolidation is key to next year, but with some good luck and a couple more good additions there could be a chance we could sneak 5th. As was said on here I really think not winning the league helped the club. The feel good factor from beating a thuggish side who we struggled against all year seemed to bring a togetherness to the place. Then signings of intent like Elliot and on a 3 year contract shows the club have long term plans as well as short term goals.
With more good news like this on the back of that there is a feeling of the club finally going in the right direction. not that anyone should be getting carried away but the base is really there to move forward now. I think Chalmers deserves applauding for the structures in place at the moment long may it continue

I didn't know he wasn't full time either. He's an exciting player to watch and I'm really looking forward to seeing him take the step up to full-time.
I just hope we can hold on to him as if he keeps improving the way he's going, the sky is the limit for the lad

| Quote paulwalker71="paulwalker71"There'll be other signing announcements to come, I'm sure.
I'd be surprised if we don't at least try to sign Garside. And it will be part-time, as he has a decent job as a teacher and doesn't want to be full-time. There's also James Laithwaite who we might sign.
It's interesting that we announced Dalton Grant for next year ages afgo. As its turned out, he now looks like he is going to backup only....'"
I like Matt Garside and I hope that we do sign him. From that snippet in the NZ rag the other day though it mentioned that we will have 22 full time players.
With 22 full time players, what's the chances that we train during the day? And I'm thinking that we trained in the evening this seasins past?
As mentioned Matt Garside is a teacher, and as far as I'm aware, that's also a day job.
How would that fit?
