High end part time championship players will have had offers to go to SL but doesn't work out financially for them if they have a good job outside of rugby. Dom Brambani was a good example of it. Definitely need to have part timers too for me if they can improve the squad'"
It's been said before, but Sheffield's fall from grace after going full time wasn't just the added expenses. A large part of it too were that when they were flying quite high, a lot of their best players were part time. When they went full time, those players who didn't want to leave their jobs left the club and ended up elsewhere (Brambani was one of them), meaning Sheffield actually got worse on the pitch.
I don't see the benefits of turning away part time players who don't want to be full time, if they improve your squad and you can manage the training properly. Certainly not outside of Super League anyway.
