| Shaping up to be a close end to the season.
York: Coventry (h), North Wales (h), West Wales (a), Hunslet (h), Workington (a), Oldham (h), Hemel (a), Whitehaven (h)
Bradford: London (a), Whitehaven (h), North Wales (a), Workington (h), Keighley (h), West Wales (a), Oldham (a), Hemel (h)
York haven't won in Cumbria since 1842 or something like that. Oldham on a good day are are a dangerous team, on a bad day they are poor. For York I think it all hinges on finally winning in Cumbria and making sure there are no slip ups against Oldham while posting a cricket score against some of the lower teams. I'm fairly confident against Hunslet and Whitehaven at home.
For Bradford, again the Oldham match is the difficult one. I think Keighley have lost too many players to challenge you at Odsal, even if they'll be fired up.
If I was a betting man I'd say Bradford to finish top and York to go up through the playoffs.

Also with Hallas last week proving to anyone who had any doubt that he's not a hooker, Halafihi having a dodgy start today, i really question the decision to let Butterworth go.'"
I think the decision was not in Bradford's hands tbh. They seem to have done alright in terms of getting players from Cas on loan mind you

On the whole not too bad I would have taken that score this morning, Halafihi a bit rusty and yes those hospital passes were baffling. There were plenty of positives i.e. Egodo and I thought Chisholm was very good, the issue that bothers me is James Green caused chaos in their defense pretty well every carry I cannot understand why no-one can push up to get on his shoulder for the off-load.

| Great debut from Egodo. Lilley also seemed to be getting more involved as we went on. Plenty of positives. On the negative side Chisholm threw some awful passes in the 1st half, we lacked patience and needed to be more clinical. Think the message got out at half time.

| Thought Chissy was outstanding and probably our MOM with James Green very close behind (if at all..). Fair enough, that came with the odd howler but with that kind of attacking skill I'll put up an occasional shocker.
Generally a good solid performance from all, with the new blokes seeming to fit as though they'd been here all year - pretty much from the off too as, for a change, we made very few errors in the opening quarter. I was very impressed with Egodo, he looks the business.
I've edited this to mention the wind, which was very dominant, particularly in the first half, and the good performance playing against this, and ending the half with a solid lead shouldn't be underestimated. All round good performance for me.

| Yes agree the wind was a major factor....thought we played well in very blustery conditions...and we held onto the ball on a plastic pitch which we struggled with in Newcastle.
