They've just announced Jamel Goodall on a 1 year deal. Former Halifax ERA, Keighley & Cas utility forward. Jamaican International. 20 years old. Can't say I've heard of him.

Nice to have some signing news, seems forever since our last one. As Hamster said, don't know much about him so impossible to make a judgment. Cas saw something in him and while they didn't think enough of him to offer an SL contract, hopefully he can go well in L1.
As i said previously, i think we have a very strong 17, but badly lack depth. So i expect a few more players like Goodall, young and hungry, to provide some depth and cover, rather than starters of the quality of Chisholm, Crossley etc

I coached him for a while when he was a junior at Wibsey. A good player who was far ahead of most juniors at that time. A big lad with plenty of skill.

Plenty of pace apparently, so much so they feel he may play on the wing - either way round we're not exactly over loaded with wingers either so he seems a good signing.
Young lad, spent some time at a super league club, bit to prove, one year deal to concentrate the mind - what's not to like?

Very well thought of by a few people that I know.
Plenty of clubs were chasing him before he went to Cas after him impressing at Keighley.
These young, hungry players that can develop while the team/club does are exactly the type of business that I think we should be doing.
