Never been a massive fan of his as a player. Yes can do magic things with ball in hand but also liable to undo his good work with other aspects of his game. Also didn't agree when he became English

Now I've said that I will also say I sincerely hope he doesn't become another Terry Newton. You get the impression he is a troubled soul. I remember a few week back he was man of the match for Widnes on Sky and was at the touch screen with Jon Wells after the game, they had just won and he got MOM but you could just tell he was not a happy person.

If his rugby career is now over I really hope he gets the help I think he clearly needs. I certainly changed my opinion of him after that interview with Jon Wells

Massively agree roger. Was saying to someone last night you can see it going only one way of he cant get a grip of his demons. He must get into some very dark places to continually get himself in these predicaments. I hope for his and his kids sake he can get the help he needs. But i'm not sure how will handle been away from rugby for 2 years as it seems to be his one release from himself

The lad obviously has problems. He needs some long term help. Getting it is another matter. He might have to get much worse before he gets to the front of the queue.

Probably more difficult will be him accepting he needs help in the first place. As he keeps 'slipping up' it doesn't seem like he's reached that conclusion yet?

A lot of people with mental health problems refuse to acknowledge there's a problem. Often they can end up requiring community mental health services to visit them to try to get them to take medication or have therapy. It's extremely challenging work. There's a cycle of behaviour. Often people don't recover. They just carry on like this forever.

I remember the last couple of years we were in Super (Duper) League, we played Castleford and beat them comfortably.

Rangi still scored 3 or 4 tries in that game, all solo efforts, really showed what he was capable of. He is a real talent!

Unfortunately he never really seemed to be able to keep his head down. Never come across as the most intelligent, and appears to have a poor circle of friends.

Hopefully he gets the treatment he badly needs. I don't think we will see Chase play rugby again.
