Thanks for the assumptions GFB, which are well wide of the mark BTW. For the record I first attended in 1969 as a small boy with my dad, and kept going through plenty of lean times, including a season when we got relegated to then Division 2, and another season (was 1976, I forget?) when we only avoided relegation with a squeaky win in the last game. There have been plenty of bad times, and I've sat through some absolute dross, for example when David Hobbs was coaching us.
So, hardly a fair weather fan. What seems different (to me, at any rate) is the way that it would seem we are being manipulated at the moment. The whole saga of admin, liquidation, the process by which the current owners got the club when there were apparently better offers, the whole things seems shady at best (and downright corrupt at worst). Then there's the persistent rumours that this season doesn't matter as we won't get relegated anyway. The whole thing seems really weird, as if there are many other forces at play that we are not being told about.
TLicon_biggrin.gifR I can support the club when we aren't successful, I've done that for most of the past 50 years. But the way things are this season is something quite different, and not in a good way...
