| Not a Bulls fan obviously but I cannot see the merit in starting in the Championship with one hand tied behind your back ( i.e. points deduction).
If the business model has failed under past conditions not sure how you sell a team to supporters doomed to fail from the very start of the campaign and how you attract players of a sufficient standard against that background.
If you start at the bottom but at least have some chance of success and win games then folk are much more likely to roll up to watch a wining team.
Good luck guys, feel for you, must be an horrendous situation to find yourselves in with no club. Hopefully you will find your way back to SL at some point.

That's a very good point you make there Rog can't understand the bitterness really, all I can say is that's not a reflection of most Wakey fans.
Whatever the outcome lets hope it's a positive one and you and the rest of fans, good luck pal.

| Surely the best option would be start from scratch. I empathise with the players and fans about the loss ofthe club, however no matter who you are or what success may have had in the past if a new club is formed it must start at the bottom, anything other than that would add to the perceived special treatment you may or may not have received.

As discussed elsewhere, we're still waiting for someone to explain how putting a team in the championship who won't have hired any staff (including coaches and players) until approximately 2 weeks before the season starts and putting them on -12 points, not to mention all the off field stuff that also won't have been touched yet, is special treatment. You know, totally condemning them to certain relegation and effectively wasting a season. Most seem to believe that starting in Champ 1 on a level playing field would be the best treatment they could give to Bradford.

| Not voted on the poll as not a Bradford supporter but I think the best option for a new Bradford side would be starting in league 1 with no points deducted.
If you start in the Championship with 6 losses already notched up, a threadbare team and little hope of anything but relegation then you are on a road to failure yet again.
You would be stuck with your hardcore supporters and a team who is destined to have a poor season is going to struggle to attract new supporters and in 12 months time we will most likely see a similar scenario taking place, that helps nobody.
For all the hardcore supporters I hope something is finally sorted so the club can start on an even keel with the chance to build.
Sadly I cannot see past the RFL making sure the next Bradford start in the Championship with minus points.

Just about everyone agrees with you apart from the RFL.

| Club has gone so a new one must be formed going straight into the championship is special treatment points penalty or not. And you would more than likely stay up.
Toronto have had to start in c1 don't see why a new Bradford club should be placed in higher league, at least the rfl are consistently inconsistent lol

How would the new club more than likely stay up?
The club won't exist for at least another fortnight. No players, coaches or staff will be signed until then. The season then starts a fortnight later. The only players left available are those that nobody else wants, as all the ones they do want, have been signed up by that point. So the team is cobbled together from a group of players nobody else thinks is any good, with effectively no pre-season, a club that also have to focus on getting sponsors, kit and all the other stuff that go along with a newly formed club, and they are going to start on -12 to go along with it.
What do you base your "you would more than likely stay up" statement on?
The club would have been better off in Champ 1 on 0 points and a slightly more level playing field. They could at least make an attempt at promotion and being in the Championship in 2018. As it stands, they're going to have no hope whatsoever of avoiding relegation from the Championship and are pretty much guaranteed to be in League 1 in 2018. So how is it special treatment to put the club in a worse situation?

You think so?
We've no chance of staying up pal. Zilch, nada, nix, diddly squat, sweet FA. We are to be the whipping boys of RL to satisfy the RFL's need not to have to give everyone a bye instead.

Just a thought, but say the Bulls didn't form for another season and the RFL gave everyone a bye. What would happen to the extra fixture at the Summer Bash? We play the bulls 3 times so potentially lose the right to fight for 6 points but everyone else only plays you twice. Those 2 points could be crucial come the end of the season.
