| Quote TrevLovesJanice="TrevLovesJanice"It would make sense for Sheffield to buy the "franchise" of Bradford, as they already have a half-decent championship team but nowhere to call home.
Surely that team would do better playing as Bradford (not Sheffield), at Odsal, and as an existing club they wouldn't have the 12 point deduction. Otherwise they are a dead club walking.
Seems like a possible win-win to me as a decent team at Odsal would surely be sustainable and Sheffield have had many years of financial prudence.'"
Indeed, and its not as if Sheffield have previous for being a baptism for new clubs - Shuddersfield. So how about Bradshef Beagles?

Well this is where the whole leasehold/freehold/redevelopment thing comes in. If there's no sweetner available to do something money making with some of the land then there is no point, but if this now opens up other avenues then who knows - it could still work out.

| Quote Nat (Rugby_Aholic)="Nat (Rugby_Aholic)"My reaction to this comes from a place of paranoia, I will admit it. Its a result of being on the bad end of RFLs favouritism of certain clubs for several years. We get denied a franchise for years when clubs like Broncos and Celtic are given every advantage and squander it. I can't help but imagine the assurances they will have given the new owners in private. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it emerged that you weren't able to be relegated for two seasons, as you are a newly formed expansion club "expanding" down the M606. That is how much I trust the RFL, nothing at all to do with Bradford. You are just the latest "benificiarys" of the RFL's make it up as you go along approach.
The game is dying on its booty because the RFL are the most incompetent administrators of professional sport in the world. They make Fifa look like a well run machine. The situation you find yourselves in today attests to that.'" its not paranoia, it just gets more cringe worthy as the same game goes on, how the RFL and show their faces and spurt the utter drivel is beyond me, while I don't want to see the bull disappear all it does is again show favouritism to a team that are going to struggle from day one of this season coming up, common sense you start at the very bottom and build from there, funny how we was threatened with league 1 a few years ago my gripe is not with bradford bulls fans its with the RFL I hope anyone who wants to argue the point understands this if not then they are a dim wit

Well, their own city has shown it doesn't really want them. They knocked the ground down for starters !
They seem a decent set of players and are strongly led by Mark Aston. They would surely do better becoming bradford than by playing as sheffield but at wakey.
What future do they really have ? Moving to Bradford could be a lifesaver and as I said, they ain't too shabby a side.
Not a thinly-disguised "merger" though - they would quite rightly be Bradford

I thought that the availability for purchase of Odsal was a pretty much universal condition demanded by the main interested people, and before them, even Green, when he was pretending he had the cash and the ability to run a whelk stall. Odsal seemed to be the thing that made it work. The RFL must have in principle already agreed to whatever plans these people had for the place and the team?

| I'm not sure how this RFL solution is showing us favouritism! No club, no players, no coach, no ground, no kit no pot to pi55 in. And probably two weeks to scamble something together that will most likely get stuffed every week before being relegated, if we're lucky.
Some favouritism.

So go and gripe at the RFL. I'm sure there's an email address on their website. Tell them what a set of bent wazzocks they are. We've heard it til we're blue in the teeth.

| I don't know why everyone is confident about our new owner being Plan B. As far as I know he has no interest in RL (although I realise it didn't stop MG)

If you want drivel, you're the guy madly writing about "showing favouritism" on the board of fans who as of lunchtime today have nothing, no club, no players, no coach, nothing, zero, zilch. You appear to be a specialist in drivel.
