Personally, if I was forming a new club, I'd move away from the place as it is too costly. I'd probably look for a ground share with a near neighbour maybe PA or City? As to training facilities - what's the deal with the Tong setup? If it is an asset of the old club the administrator will be looking to unload, might get that cheap.

There is no way we can reform the club with just over a month until the start of the season. The only way it will be possible is if the RFL approved bidder was waiting in the wings until the club was liquidated and debt free to come and pick up the pieces?

Not sure how any new club could not just end up in the same mess if it re-formed and played at Odsal and had to still pay for upkeep etc.

The same reasoning would prevent points deductions in ordinary admin. It's a new legal entity when you come out the other side.

My preference now, as with all those above, is L1. If we somehow get something together in four weeks and play this season then to play in Ch means relegation. Remains to be seen what the squad is. But the squad is all gone now. There is no TUPE here, as far as my limited knowledge tells me. This isn't an old entity transferred to a new one. This is just a new one with no previous.

If we are about to see the majority of the team walk away then I don't think I can watch it happen.

Thats the only option. Two bidders were accepted by the RFL. If they want to bid again, they know what is needed. Senior players and/or good players won't stay with a 12 point deduction though, not if they have ambition.

If you drop down to L1 that in itself creates other problems for the RFL. Blackpool needs the correct number of teams and that would necessitate a club being promoted or not relagated. That team would immediately be at a disadvantage as they will have recruited for a season in championship 1.

This. There is a month before the season starts. It's not possible to find owners, players, a ground, sell tickets, get kit and all the million other things that need to happen before the season starts. And then to possibly try to compete in the Championship?
It can't happen, unless something has already been put in place.
