| Not necessarily contradicting each other if it is a revised bid, i.e. creditors said no, and they are upping their bid.

| I have been confused for weeks. Does anyone know what is going on?
I don't even know what day it is.

| Quote Bulls Boy 2011="Bulls Boy 2011":1of3qbh2He was born in Halifax and has a plant in Bradford. His company is planning to build a £4m anaerobic digester and has begun work on a 10MW biomass plant in Aberdeen
So maybe he sees the Odsal site as a potential place for Bradford to have one of these digester or biomass plant things. After all recycling is high on the agenda for both environmental and political reasons. Maybe saving the Bulls and buying the land can boost his company further. The money he would make using that land would fund the Bulls without him having to dip his hand in his pocket. Saying that the interest on his £360million would probably fund the Bulls and leave him some cash left over
'" :1of3qbh2
Bfd Met, along with Calderdale, were going to build such a plant at Bowling Back Lane last year, but it was backheeled late in the day. Not [i:1of3qbh2entirely[/i.
I'd guess a private company may well find it a good investment and Odsal would be ideal, given its past use, ease of access and sheer size. I'd guess the council would get a fair old price for the land and be able to provide a suitable ground for the Bulls, maybe to be built by the new owner. Wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in the meeting between company, club, council and RFL - I think I've got headache already.

| I tweeted Rohan to express my concerns for staff and players through all this and this was his reply:
@PHILISAN it's bigger than us... it's also about the club, the fans, the city & the game in general
What a true gent!

| Seems a bit silly for someone worth circa £400m, who owns a company with £50m+ annual turnover, to be reaching a sticking point over paying someone back the £650k they are owed. It's pennies to Sawrij, his company will have earned that much in the next fortnight!
You want rid of Green it's simple - pay him his money back.

| Finally caught up on the thread. All the best to Philisan, and kudos for bumping the post count in a poignant way.
And what, no-one saw my little clues on page 350 "Dan" & 351 "Leo"?! Pfft.
I actually saw Sadler very briefly today about 11.30am, little did I know the chaos he would cause!! I heard then it was the Chalmers bid that had been rejected.

I have a doubt over the £360m on his Wikipedia page.

IIRC the Govt money went on to fund a similar scheme in Leeds [no surprise there then.

Not shocked at all that it ended up going to Leeds! This seems like the logical reason for Sawrij to be involved, as you say it means the government may not have to fund this project and the council will receive a lot of money for the land. Almost like their work is being done for them in terms of Sawrij developing the Odsal site. If I am honest I am all for a recycling plant or something similar to be built! The more of those the merrier! Be nice if we could get one of those energy producing recycling plants! Could use it to power Odsal

Gledipaedia - when the source is more likely to be Heinz (Ben Kavanagh's tweet) than reliable.
