Would be stupid of him, as you mentioned that would mean liquidation and he gets nowt.
But he appointed GP with one clear outcome, he gets back as much as possible.
He isn't going to be allowed to regain control of the club, and no one is willing to pay him X amount so right now I'd say he is trying to force the hand of prospective bidders; pay me off or youre going to have to start from scratch, with the potential problems that come with that, i.e. Potentially Less season tickets, loss of players etc .
That would be a sizeable hole in the finances which could force someone's hand to pay MG back what (or close to) the sum he wants.
Now, look at it this way, this might be the only way to get Marc Green out of the way, we have offers, RFL approved, players available out of contract. Could be a plan there somewhere?
