| Quote RickyF1="RickyF1"Why can't the RFL just put a sale clause (if they was to sell odsal) in a contract to say there always has to be rugby league ground on the site. That would them allow someone develop the site but they would have to build a ground aswell as retail/commercial units.'"
I thought the lease already had a usuage clause on it that says pretty much that? Didn't that come up when the RFL took it on in the first place?

| I heard that the RFL are seeking assurances that the new owners will NOT be giving Duffy a position within the club.
That is their sticking point.
Sod Odsal, they just want rid of the teflon-coated wee clown.

When you say wee clown you mean little clown because you're a jock. But wee clown actually sounds better and I'm going to use that.

| Quote Frank Whitcombe="Frank Whitcombe"Sit tight folks!
It's been the same crowd all along, and to be fair they've indulged the process, even when the administrator allowed a bid beyond the original deadline and they've stuck at it.
Odsal is key, if the RFL say they want to discuss the lease the deal goes one way if they don't it goes another, but I remain convinced that the preferred bidder will ensure we have a club to support in 2017, as does RS.
My very first post, said there would be development on and OFF the field and that's been a key issue as has the assurance that we will be a championship side next year.
Big day tomorrow'"
Thanks for that Frank, but not sure how many more "Big Days" I can stand. Fed up of going to the computer every five minutes looking for an update. This is more drawn out than the Forsyte Saga.

| Frank's posts always make me feel better at the end of a frustrating day where none of the fans expectations about the process have been met and everyone is jumping to all sorts of conclusions.
The articles this morning about the former NZ chap with his links to Salford and comments re austerity left me feeling really down and that the same old result was likely to happen.
Hoping the preferred bidder Frank talks off is realistic in their discussions with the RFL. The RFL statement the other day said:
"“Clearly this is not an asset of the club, and therefore not available to be sold by the administrator.
“However at every point in the process we have been clear that the RFL Board would consider entering into separate discussions with any party to purchase the RFL’s interest, provided that the offer was reflective of the inherent value of the asset and safeguarded rugby league in Bradford.
“While to date we have not received any substantive approach regarding our leasehold interest from any interested party, we remain open to such discussions."
There is no reason why tomorrow can't go well provided the bidder is realistic with their offer and their intentions re Odsal are in the interests of rugby. Likewise the RFL have to realise (given the last 10 years of decline and failure) this may be the only chance Bradford has of truly reinvigorating the Bulls for a long time if not ever.
Some serious banging of heads together required tomorrow to ensure that this mess is finally sorted.
I like the comment that RS is also convinced that the preferred bidder will ensure we have a team to support in 2017. Intriguing.

The Bulls were given the leasehold by the council {150 years}in 2002 with a peppercorn rent and I believe
£5million upfront to help maintain the ground, that was supposed to last until 2020, that money was squandered before the RFL took control of the lease in exchange for bailing us out pre Admin 1.
So the RFL will need to pay the council I think £1per annum. it might cripple em.

Don't care how they justify it. The RFL lease the ground from Bfd Council. End of.

| Isn't this a great example of noise filling the vacuum?
If you take a step back, the admin process has been as follows:
Buyers are interested
Buyers are still interested
Got someone else interested now
We're in discussions now but it's involved
Just bought a bit more time as the Odsal issue needs sorting
Announcement Friday
Announcement postponed as buyers still in discussions
None of that is negative and is better than "no one wants it"
The other 205 pages is noise, panic and worry.
Good luck tomorrow

Thank you for the update Frank it is much appreciated. Lets hope some serious head banging takes place. I would be devastate d if we're to go under tomorrow.
Interestigly Danny Lockwood tweeted the below.
Not that it's much consolation to @OfficialBullsRL fans but I hear HMRC is in attack-dog mode over serial offender Marc Green.

Seriously, stop listening to him. He is MAKING IT UP. As has been rightly said, he is tweeting constant b0llocks in the hope that the occasional one is a correct guess. Just bloody ignore him!!!
It's people giving him attention and asking him questions that fuel him. He has no idea but people thinking he is "in the know" is what is making him carry on with this toxic $hite.
