I'm glad you think your huge support is so very important to the league to these little clubs you named above. We were all surviving and making this an exciting league when you were in SL going into administration and begging all RL fans to help give money to save your 'iconic club'
This massive fan base you have haven't saved the club on the last 3 occasions. It's time you stopped being so santamonious and bite the bullet. The bulls are done and dusted. Not because of anyone at other clubs it's down to the People who ran your club and ran it into the ground, several times. I hope you survive but never at the expense of other clubs. Start again move away from Odsal and show us and the RFL what an asset you can be the league your in.Quote Faxlore
For the benefit of doubt, I was not slating any other club, the Bulls are in this mess because the person running the club made some very bad decisions and following those bad decisions were players capable of finishing in the top 4 thinking that all they had to do was turn up which led to the fact no plan B was ever considered and it was or bust.
Denial then was the order of the day, not accepting that no top 4 funding meant no full time squad but hey the owner carried on regardless and announced a host of new signings whilst not having a the means to back it up, and here we are in admin.
Money has been wasted by people now long since sailed into the sunset on 40+ player squads.
Only 1 man sees the income and expenditure and makes the decisions and that man has not been truthful for a long long time.
If anything looking at a structure like Halifax and working from there might be in the best interests of the club going forward but in truth the easiest things might just be to jack it all in before this all happens again in a few years when the RFL let the club lose with another cowboy at the helm.

Bulls going into League 1 would actually cost a fair few teams thousands in revenue. I doubt Batley, Fev, Halifax, etc v Barrow would be the kind of draw that the Bulls is to them, and the attendances would reflect this.'"
Who cares? If the Halifax fan posting earlier is typical, they would rather take the moral high ground than tens of thousands of pounds of extra income.
Besides, having seen Dewsbury and Halifax umpteen times last season, I quite like the idea of games against teams like Newcastle and Coventry. Then there's the away trip to Toronto of course
On the other hand, it might be trips to Dudley Hill or Siddal

| Quote Highlander="Highlander"God, I hope the RFL don't support us too much. They exacerbated the first administration by stupidly loaning us money then taking our only asset.
They then approved Omar, who only had a few quid, then effectively fined him £1.2m which any idiot could see he didn't have, guaranteeing a 2nd administration and relegation.
Because they now own the stadium, they are between a rock and a hard place. They need a tenant, but the terms of the tenancy means that only a SL club with SL funding could survive at Odsal. But equally they are desperate to avoid being accused of favouritism.
What a bloody mess the RFL have allowed themselves to get entangled in'"
Well said.

| Rod Studd has come up with an innovative idea of a supporter-run model for us. Such blue-sky thinking.
Mind you, Mick is wholly on-board with the idea:
@TheGameCaller
With the help of @SuppDirect and the @TheRFL we can offer the supporters of the club the choice of being in control.

Why dont your club get their own finances in order stop asking players to take pay cuts and start paying rent on your ground like the football team have to do

Don't think any supporter of any club can have any moral higher ground for as long as they are that, merely supporters. I follow the club I do merely by stint of being from that city and being taken there as a child. Anything the club does has little to do with me, good or bad. There is no moral ground to be had unless you are actually a club owner.

Errm, the pay cuts were required to do exactly that - to help get the clubs' finances in order. We've lost one of our best players as a result. On the rent point, there have been disagreements with the landlord (Calderdale Council), but it appears that these have been ironed out and there are no payments outstanding (I say "appears", 'cos I don't work for either the club or the Council). Fax certainly have money issues (as have most professional RL clubs), but why do you think they're still a part-time outfit despite the additional funding that the middle-8's brought last year?
I wish you and your club all the best, and hope you can work something out. If the worst does happen (expulsion or relegation), then I also hope that some sort of deal can be brokered for the Bulls faithful that have invested in Season Tickets for next year.

| Wasn't there some discussions about a group of fans setting up another club earlier this season? I think they managed to create a Twitter account and everything?!

I'm not going to repeat what HXSparky has said but if you are interested there is a small interview in the Halifax Courier with Mr Croad. He does say the club made a small profit last season and gives a general explanation of what and why the club have done to steady the club. If you don't want to read it fine. As everyone says we don't want to see Bradford go the wall but it may just happen this time. Hope not
