| Quote Bullseye="Bullseye"If we're still looking for a centre we should sign Tyson from Sheffield. He made Welham look second rate today.'"
Absolutely agree. I thought he was excellent.
Hopefully the 3000 odd crowd will have boosted Sheffield's coffers a little as well.

| Quote Bull Mania="Bull Mania"Really?? He got us the ball back on at least 5 occasions and his General kicking was spot on too. I think he made 2 mistakes, one where he threw a forward pass on the last tackle instead of kicking and the dummy. But if had have passed it and the full back intercepted, we would have still been moaning. But it was hardly every good think he did he made a mistake. I think it was at least y good things he did he made 1 mistake.
Give me someone like Chisholm who may have a mistake in him, but has the craft and predictability to come up with plays not many in SL can muster. We need creativity, not a steady Eddie who does a nice safe drop off that everyone in the stadium can see coming.'"
I don't disagree that some of what he did today was brilliant - I have never seen a team regain the ball from the restart so often in the game and that was all down to him. I'm sure he made more errors than two, but that's academic I suppose. I may have been slightly critical in my appraisal but that's probably because I couldn't be ar*ed recollecting the number of times he made a stupid play

| Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark"On the minus side, Green suggested we should get to the ground early, and spend with the Bulls rather than outside the ground. So i did. I made my way to our allotted shrine behind the stand, and ordered a pie and a pint. "Sorry sir, no pies". Why not? Some feeble excuse that made no sense. What is this? A Final, and we can't even get some fscking pies in? I thought that was pretty bad - until I sat down and the lady on our table said they didn't even have any crisps. "Shambles" isn't the word.'"
I was stood behind a bloke in the bar behind the stand (the only bar behind there that's open now by the way) at about 2:30 who was told they'd sold out of Crisps. It seems they don't have a large stock at all of them and they go quickly. Now someone with business sense might think that means get some more available, but apparently it's been like that at least since we ended up in the Shield.
It's baffling at times. Green keeps making these noises about spending money in the ground, but then all you hear is how they sell out of things way too quickly, or the gates don't open until late anyway. It seems like quite a shambles to me.

If Ferres were still here, there'd have been pies.

I'd say running out of pies or lager mid way through the last match is better business wise than having a surplus you can't sell.
Money is clearly tight and waste costs more than lost revenue at this stage of the season.

I would agree, if it was just the last match. But certainly I've been hearing people moaning about them running out of different bits for at least the last couple of months (not the beer though).

| I'd suggest that hot food was a, 'unique daily event', in all cases where the vendor only traded weekly, not just the last game. Fair enough, in some circumstances they could, if people were prepred to wait, do it to order, but once heated it has to be sold - I mean, they can hardly stick it back in the fridge, even until next week. Even unheated pies have a very limited shelf life.
