That 84/85 side that Hanley was in wasn't as good as the 2 championship winning teams IMO.

That year we were 8th out of 16, so just scraped into the top half of the table and were, by definition, extremely average, I guess...though mid table certainly precludes the team from being, "crap", as said earlier.

Wherever the club was, Ellery was the best player I've ever seen live, the stuff he could do with a rugby ball was just amazing.
