| Quote Bull Mania="Bull Mania"This! The team is being chopped and changed hugely every week. A lot is down to injuries. But we've had multiple half back combinations with a player from every position apart from prop having a go at HB. Clare is playing a different position every week. We're not forming any partnerships up. Add to the fact we had a centre and loose forward at HB, it's all a bit scrappy. The ruck speed was dire today so to score 50 wasn't too bad.
Disappointed to conceded 18 again.
Thought Thomas was great. Even taking away his brilliant individual try, his passing was much quicker and accurate than either Addys or Purtells. Hopefully he will get a run in the side now and gain some confidence.
Thought Addy had a shocker and woudlnt be in my 17 next week.
Massive improvement for London needed but Sidlow and Gaskell returning should improve us.'"
Don't know what Danny Addy has to do to impress some people. Everybody has a different view but for me he was MOM.

| Agree Thomas was very quiet until the try hopefully something to build on for him. What was glaringly obvious was the passing ability of Workys halves wa far superior to that of ours. For part time players to have a better and more accurate passing game than whoever is playing 6/7 in a full time side says it all about where we are at. Plonk Gaskell and a decent 7 in there our whole team complex will change. On Danny Addy although he's played mre half back than anywhere in his Bulls career, I personally liked him playing as a wide second row for scotland in the world cup

In fairness, their 7 (Jamie Doran) was at Wigan until this year. Not like he's a local cumbrian lad who spent more time hearding sheep than playing rugby.

| Danny played well and was very instrumental in most of the things we did, imo.
I'm far from sure that half back makes the best use of his particular skill-set tbh, but he does as he is asked, and in the circumstances he is the rock around which the team is built. Like everyone else I'd like those circumstances to different but, until they are Danny is the best option. I guess it's the curse of the 'utility' player, but just As Jimmy has said on many occasions, Danny is a fine rugby player - let's hope we soon see him where he is most effective.

| I thought it was a pretty scrappy game to be honest. Workington are easily the weakest side in the league yet they looked slicker than us in attack when then moved the ball wide. It frustrates me beyond belief we’re in a situation where we have no halfback. No other club gets into this sort of pickle.
That said although we started a bit slowly (as usual) we were comfortable for the entire game. Thomas started slowly, dropping the kick off but he got better as he went on. His assist for Caro and his own 70 metre individual try were highlights for me. I was sceptical about his recruitment but he seems to have potential.
I thought Addy had a good game. He provided assists for a few tries and looked better than usual in defence. His long ball to Williams to score in the corner was great. I thought Clark was his usual self and took the ball up well with no thought for his own self preservation – he’ll need to introduce some subtlety into his game if he’s going to have a long career.
Welham got better after his turnstile attempt in defence in the first half. Overall an ok effort but a SL side would put 80+ past Workington. We’re clearly missing a halfback. Add a halfback and this side is at least 50% better, this monumental balls up probably cost Lowes his job.
As for the rumours of Addy and Clark leaving for a SL side. I think Clark is raw but has potential. I don’t think Addy is SL quality – he’s a good championship level back rower. If they do go it’s an indictment of our chances of going up. If nobody goes up this year then expect to see any player of potential go to SL from a championship club as they realise that playing in this league is merely a stepping stone.

Everyone has their favourite players but for me Danny has always given 100%. Been played out of position and still gave his all.

| I agree you can't knock Addy for effort. Yesterday he showed plenty of skill too.

| Danny's problem is that he no longer has a position, because he's been filling in at H/B so long.
Even so, I'm sure he would do a job in SL, and the better a team he went into at LF, the better he would be. He does have plenty of creativity, imagine him in a side with a strong pack, and with 2 creative halfbacks, where he was creative player no.3 not no.1
Whereas he'd never get into any SL side as a scrum half, unless maybe some club decided to join us in our "you don't need a scrum half" experiment

This is it. He is a good backrower because he is a strong runner with the ball. He's also got decent hands for a forward and reads the game well.
He is best when he is bursting onto the ball, through a tackle and maybe offloading.
Should be picking the back 3 for the pack from Fergie, Pitts, Haggerty and Addy. Mellor pushing through.
Not really an Olbison fan personally.

| Olbison hasn't re-captured his form of last year when he made plenty of ground with the ball. He's getting smashed this year and not getting over the advantage line.
