| Quote jonny the leyther="jonny the leyther"Honestly believe you'll put 40 on them,
Wakey 20-40 Bradford or that kind of score.
You're a better team on paper, good ref, no godinet and should be like a home game for you.
How many travelling fans do you reckon?
Be careful of the Wakey stewards, we took about 2500 there in the cup and it was bedlam.'"
I agree. I don't get this Wakefield love in. They are a poor side, and have been for a couple of years. An in form Bulls team should win comfortably. I'm going for Bulls by 18.

| Depends which Bulls team turns up. We've had a few dismal performances recently, we're all hoping we lift for these mid 8 games though. On paper it looks close but we have the talent to get the result if we take our chances.

| Quote Bull Mania="Bull Mania"Bit disappointing if true. Jimmy always rated Shaw highly. However he's not been outstanding enough to warrant us breaking the bank. Leigh game he was superb. But his defence hasn't been the best at times and isn't quick enough to be a top winger. Would definitely have him in the squad for next year, but depends what wage demands were (if rumours are true). But I think Caro Clare and Williams are head of him as wingers. Mullaney is First choice full back and Mendieka/Clare can cover if/when he's injured.'"
Pretty much agree with that.
Shaw has been ok, but we're talking championship and we'll need to be better if we're both to go up [iand[/i stay there.
Even in this division his defence, both catching and tackling, hasn't been great, though he is a good goal-kicker and knows where the line is. We have better options imo. Williams and Clare are already signed for next year and I'd give Caro an extra year too, before Shaw. Sorry to say, but it's a cut throat world and Shaw's plenty good enough to get a gig elsewhere if he leaves.

Also I suppose if we go up at the expense of a SL team we can pick over some bones so to speak so shaw would be even further down the list, his support play isnt as good as Mendeika when ive seen them both, and Addy is nearly as good a goal kicker also have Mullaney for that role (if we keep Seijka I wouldnt use him he missed a sitter at Leigh) need to focus on 7 next season no matter where we are, the others (provided we keep them) will still form a good team.

| Shaw is young and he came as a centre if I recall. He's contributed more than most this season so I'd like to see him stay. Agree with the concerns about Blythe who looks as though he needs to start pre-season.

| Shaw has made a contribution this year, there's no doubt about it. But given the fact that over the last month, we've signed virtually a new back line, the lad has to accept that just being good at kicking goals isn't going to cut it were an extended deal is involved.

| I would keep Shaw as I see him as a work in progress. He would benefit from a spell with a decent backs coach.
If money is that tight then I would reluctantly let him go.
We seem to be committed to a lot of 2 year contracts in relation to players who we have not seen much of and I can't imagine they would get a deal elsewhere as nobody else has seen them.

| The other problem we would have is that unless they move to Leigh, London or Sheffield they will be switching from full time to part time, which won't be that straighforward for a lot of players. Especially if they have moved to this country for the sole purpose of playing RL.

| seems to be common situation that superleague contracts are automatically void when clubs are relegated. I assume reverse isn't true with championship contracts when a club is promoted?. I assume we just take all players upto SL and their contracts are then SL ones, albeit some players may have clauses for more money if were in SL.

| Actually, didn't Gaskell say he had two contracts when there was talk of him going to Wire? A super league one and a championship one?

| Interesting if true, would the alter those who where with us during SL and now in the CH or are they on a separate contract due to relegation?
More i read and look forward to tomorrow the more worried i get that jimmy will play Seijka in some capacity and use up a bench spot or move Addy around and it come back and bite us in the .
If some miracle happens and we do win and Leigh lose, next week between Wakey and Leigh will be and absolute stormer of a game as if either lose they are extremely unlikely to be going up.
