Bloody Blackpool. Ugh!

Bank holiday weekend. Blackpool will be heaving. May just be a day trip for us, not planning on staying.

I don't think Blackpool is ever "heaving" nor has it been in recent memory. There will be plenty of people about but that surely is a plus not a minus, what do you want, tumbleweed rolling along a deserted promenade? We booked accomodation as soon as the fixtures came out, really looking forward to it.

Though if I didn't like Blackpool, I'd probably consider booking in at one of the nice dune-side hotels in Lytham.

I've heard the Broadway Hotel just off the prom is nice.

last time I was there, to see my daughters' dance school performing in a show at the Winter Gardens so admittedly a few years ago, there were people heaving up in the streets before going to the next bar in the pub crawl, and no respite on the beach as there were couples bonking away. No wonder they are so keen to get a better class of tourist in.
