I know this is very left-field but after a very stupid week I have only just now watched the recording of Backchat. We had a guy (whose name evades me) from the Press Association throwing a hypothetical into the pot and stirring it around. I refer to the suggestion that a certain Michael Monaghan might consider a club "such as Bradford" to start in coaching. It clearly caught the others (and quite probably many viewers as well) off-guard and he was put back in his place. However, at the Cedar Court do I got chatting to a guy I've never met before who told me that Monaghan was talking to Bradford with exactly that idea in mind. The guy told me that he was a regional manager for a company that does a fair bit of business with Warrington. At the time I took it with a huge piece of rock salt but should I have been so sceptical?

I was never one who slated Gale, though there were a few around the place who did and whilst I'd have been far from devastated to have kept him, I don't think he's anyone's dream half either. I'm not too concerned about how his time at Wakey or Rovers went. He has shown his quality in the past and with the right environment and when fully fit there is every chance he can play like that again.

Just look at Etu Uaisele. For various reasons it didn't work for him at Rovers at all and then he went to Sheffield on loan, has a great time and scores 8 tries in 8 games. His comments in the recent article on the Bulls site were that his career stagnated at Featherstone and he fell out of love with the game.
