Title as quoted by Dave Craven in today's Yorkshire Post. If that is the case, should not there be an enquiry as to what went amiss?. In the same article Jamie Peacock is quoted as saying after he donated £800 to the club to help with many other supporters to help fill the £1million shortfall," I actually feel a bit bitter along with other fans who rasied all that money which then just vanished into a hole or wherever."
My view is that there should be an independent investigation, possibly funded by the Rugby league Council who have not covered themselves in glory with regard to all this. The directors responsible should be made accountable and if there was financial or other misdeeds they should be punished.
I wouldn't hold your breath a liquidator is unlikely to do anything other than what it says on the can - liquidate the company and I don't think that will include dragging any one in for questioning.
Just hoping the club can look forward now to a few years of good financial management - which will make a very pleasant change
