| Quote WidnesJohn="WidnesJohn"Should never have sacked Cummins. What really was expected of him? Miracles?
Perhaps if that's want you want approach Jesus Christ and see if he would be interested in taking the Odsal hot-seat.'"
It was obvious Cummins had lost the dressing room. There have been rumours going around for ages about players not getting on with him.
We don't want miracles, we know a new coach is not going to save us from relegation this season. All we want is someone who can inspire a group of players who have lost all faith in their ability, then hopefully we can go down with our heads held high.

You could argue most teams in SL have those advantages over the current Bulls, so there is no merit in having a coach of the style you suggest. You could also argue a number of those skills can be improved by quality coaching, none can be improved by threatening to beat people up. As much as pro RL players who steal a wage deserve to be chinned, it will only ever work short term.

| Lowes is not a great head coach. A very good coach, with good skills and can work with players to make them better. Not got whats needed as a head coach though in my opinion.
Im surprised one name hasnt got a bit more traction, former Bradford player, World Class player, commands respect from every British player, has a proven pedigree as a top level coach and as a coach in the lower leagues, wont take anyone not giving everything. Experienced, respected, strong. Would seem to me the perfect man to rebuild a club in terms of getting the right fitness coaches, strength and conditioning and preparatory staff and building the structures around the squad.

Threatening to beat people up?Who mentioned that?Tougher discipline YES.
Skills can be improved by quality coaching?Who's to say Jimmy, who has worked with Brian Mac/Tony Smith is not a quality coach?
FC could not get the current set of players to play their BEST and give everything--That's all most fans want.If the players give everything, play their best and leave everything on the field each week then I for one would not criticize too much.I think Jimmy can do that for the Bulls.

No thanks - only seems to go where there is a sniff of money and never seems to stick around very long when he does – especially in his more recent RL roles. We ain’t got any money, and we need a long term option.
I’d be a bit downhearted if it was Jimmy to be honest, legend on the pitch he may be, but I wouldn’t want him offering fans a fight if results didn’t go our way which happened at Wire or Salford (or was it both?). If he was assistant may be, but I doubt he’ll come back to RL to be assistant yet again. I genuinely think it would end in tears.

On that basis,Ellery would have never have been given a chance and as for "Basil" Rathbone----well?????
Personally,I would give Jimmy a chance to show what he can really do.

How much do you think he was on at Doncaster in C1? I think a strong controlling figure who demands respect and has earned it is exactly what Bradford need.

My big problem is Jimmy has shown what he can do at Salford - a club who at the time had similar problems to what we have now. I just think it's a massive gamble.

Fair enough point, but he's hardly Mr. Loyalty (didn't he walk out on Doncaster and also walk out on Cas?). I'd be surprised if he threw his hat in the ring and the club have said they wouldn't headhunt so it's a very unlikely candidate
