No, I shouldn't think so, it's a simple contract, you agree to play rugby for me for X years, I agree to pay you £Y. It would not be beyond the wit of man to have "what if" clauses. Force majeure isn't "oh, we never thought of that".

18 months ago at a forum I asked Cummins about the contract situation of some bloke called Whitehead - no I don't remember him either... - and Francis said something along the lines of that there was a contract to play rugby and also a contract to work for Bradford. edit: this must have been at a point pre-season 2013 when there was some kind of delay in his contract.

Perhaps the "rugby" contract is the SL contract?

we out muscled a poor northern team with a serious lack of props..yes its nice to beat northern and have a laugh at how easy it was after all the years we were played off the park by a great team in the early days of super league , but its nothing to brag about
