You are below Leeds Saints Wigan Wire Huddersfield and the two Hull clubs at least in terms of expectation.
As I said, you a doing well but you are still currently punching above your weight.
Widnes are a mid-lower SL club whether you want to deny it or not. It ain't the 80's anymore. Joe Lydon buggered off ages ago.'"
In terms of whose expectation? Yours? We've been through our bad times and wilderness years and believe me, they ain't pleasant. I sincerely hope that you stay up this season (already stated that earlier), but if not, you could be in for a lot of heartache.

| Think he means general populace on the VT some had you pegged for the drop, us and London have got that covered so you go on and upset the odds.
Ref may have gotten some wrong but we should have stopped them scoring there where 2 gaping holes one for that first try and they other allowed brown to waltz over, and I think browns other try was due to olbison and Nas thinking he was kryptonite and dropping off him like he was the greased up deaf guy.

| To clarify, I never had Widnes in the frame for the drop, but similarly I don't expect them to have an impact in the play-offs either.
Mid to lower side. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either wildly optimistic or completely deluded.

| Well I am confident to make mid table between 7th and 10th. I am a realistic Widnes fan. It is all about the money and only cities or big Towns like Leeds,Wigan,Warrington,Saints and Hull can bring revenue for success. Bradford should do the same been a big place too. Anyway back to the game, I think you caught Widnes playing poorly, but you showed fight and could avoid the drop.

Over the next 3-4 sl games well see the return of Diskin, sidlow, Gaskell and ferguson plus by then players will be becoming available. I can see us staying up. I reckon we're two props off it.
Wakefield and London continue to drop points and above them a few clubs continue to not turn up.

| Well I'm not confident, you'd expect it's Wakey we need to keep pace with and they still have a 6 point cushion. That's a pretty big advantage over 20 games. We have yet to see who we can sign (or when they'll arrive) and a few more injuries thrown in and we'll really struggle to claw it back. We need some quality in the pack and some good fortune to get out of the hole we're in.

I agree. I worried that, coming out of administration, there would be a repeat of the Hull result. But the determination and character shown by the team makes me believe that the players do think they can stay in Super League. Two or three additions and the return of some of the injured players give us a fighting chance.
A 4 point loss to Widnes is no disgrace.
The comments by Chemics fans ( and the post match comments by Betts) add to the deserved reputation of Widnes --a classy organisation from the chairman all the way through to the supporters

| Massive improvement from 1-17 yesterday. The best 40 minutes of rugby we've played all season by a long stretch. If the game had gone on for another 5 minutes we would have snatched it in my opinion. We also need to remember that Widnes are no mugs. They've managed to achieve 5 wins out of 6 and looked like they were on the ropes for large sections of that second half.
Yes it's disappointing to lose out after a gutsy second half performance but we weren't that far off yesterday. With a couple of new additions, as well as the returning Diskin, Sidlow, Ferguson and Gaskell, I'm hopeful we can perform a mid-season revival.
