Let's quote the passage from Bradford Northern the History written by Nigel Williams in 1989.

It's a strange coincidence that the years are 100 years to near demise in 1963 and now 50 years after we then face another unwanted milestone, in our History although it's 50 years from 1964 since we last reformed ie 2014?
Maybe another significant year?

The Passage:
"In the winter of 1863 a young gentleman named Oates Ingham, who owned the Lingfield dyeworks in Bradford decided, along with some friends from Farnham college, to form their own football club.

The style of rules they mainly played under allowed the ball to be caught by means of a fair catch, but they could not run with it, for this left the player in question open to attack. Under the rules of that time a player running with the ball, could be repeatedly kicked about the shins by his opponent until he dropped the Ball." end of the passage.

Similarities are not only the 150 years since formation and the 100 years since our last battle to stay in the league but the new ruling by the RFL that clubs and their staff and players can be repeatedly kicked until they dropped the Ball???

!00 and 50 are both regarded as significant milestones, so I guess the point is still valid mate.
