The RFL wanted shut of us in 2012 and to award our place in super league to a club with a post office sized ground. Unfortunately for the RFL but luckily for us the other super league scuppered that idea, which left them with major egg on their face. So this time round we are been used as a pawn in the war with the super league clubs.

Like Duckman I’ve already got a 2014 season ticket but if I hadn’t I’d certainly be waiting for confirmation of our SL status before shelling out.

My issue with Whitcut is that he’s often been quoted as saying one thing in the press then subsequent events proving pretty quickly that it was inaccurate. The latest example was the “business plan” being completed and submitted and us waiting on the RFL. That wasn’t the full picture, and I suspect charitably that he was naïve if he thought that that’s all it would take for the new owners to be approved, less charitable posters might say something else. He also blotted his copy book when he “forgot” to pay that tax bill earlier in the season, then there was the business about players getting paid late. I get the feeling he’s fire fighting on behalf of Omar Khan. I’d rather he be up front and honest so that any subsequent problems don’t come out of the blue and ruin chances to build trust.

Another example was the second time the players weren't paid on time. Everyone was keeping hush, but there were rumours and hints that it had happened a 2nd month on the trot. When asked about it, he said everyone was paid on time. Then when the deal was announced to take over the club, it was mentioned (by him I think) that there WERE issues after all that second time, but they'd been sorted now.

It's that sort of conflicting information that makes you not trust someone. While I'm not going to sit here and slate the guy, as I don't know him and don't know enough about him, you can understand why people are very sceptical about it when that sort of thing goes on, and it looks at least from a casual point of view, like they are being less than honest.

I did make a comment about the pot calling the kettle black in response to him trying to shout down a Cas fan who questioned Wakey's current status saying they knew nothing. But the comment seemed to go over his and several other wakefield fan's heads

The 3 areas that Mr Moore and Mr Whitcut identified as the money makers were, 1) The Coral Stand being used 365 days a year, 2) the Club shop and 3) the concerts.
