I'm pretty sure he was involved in the England/GB system before his injury, so I'm far from sure how anyone could really describe him as 'crap', since it's clear he had some ability at that time and was performing at a decent level. On the negative side he's [for whatever reason] fallen off the radar a bit and there must be a reason.

Worth a punt? Dunno, but if it didn't prevent the signing of the 'strike' centre we could really do with, I wouldn't actually be against it. I rated Owen a few seasons ago, I thought he'd be cracking by now. I still keep an eye out for him to come good. As for having him at Odsal, I would've said yes but I think we're ok for wingers and outside backs (specialist centres aside). However just reading Bulliac's post and misreading his "Dunno", I suppose I always likened him to the outside back equivalent of Donaldson.
