The usual argument about Odsal is that you're a bit way from the pitch, which is true enough, especially if you choose to stand near the back.
However, wherever you stand you are high enough to clearly see see all the lines, including the dead ball line from right behind the posts, and you can see clearly how close play is to the try line even when you're behind the sticks at the opposite end. The depth of terracing is also sufficient to allow anyone of average height to see over the people standing in front of them.
Much as I quite like Belle Vue as a traditional ground [I'm not a lover of the breeze-block palaces], and it does have some charm, I have to say that none of the previous paragraph can be said about BV, and the viewing gets worse as the crowd number rises.
