There were in fact five other bids to buy the Club, which was narrowed down to three. I believe one of the was Bradford City FC. So when you say he was the only one who wanted to save the Club he actually wasn't. He is the only one you all knew about because he had help getting it.

And he was the only one who came through and showed the cash.

The others were not interested in saving the Club apart from Bradford City. City. Were interested in ensuring the team survived. For this we have to thank Julian Rhodes. He has done more for Sprt in this city than Ken Morrison ever has.

I know Morrisons supports plenty of jobs but you will see a lot of the morrisons staff at head office are loosing thier jobs now and the jobs are going to India.

Ultimately the decision was made by the RFL/SL as they made it clear they wouldn't work with anyone they didn't approve of, and whilst I'm definitely not casting aspersions in any direction, I think it's fair to say that a rotting carcass attracts all kinds of parasites looking to their own ends.

The RFL had meetings with various applicants they thought might have been suitable and finally decided the OK Bulls offer was the best. To be honest my own view of the City bid was that they were looking to their own best interests and wanting to move the Bulls to VP in order to reduce their own rent. I don't feel anything bad about them for this, they have to do what is best for their club, and but for the OK bid it may well have been the best offer on the table.
