| Quote Wooden Stand="Wooden Stand"O dear, what a shame; a club's supporters getting upset because their club could be excluded from the top division because of unfair treatment by the RFL.
Now where have I heard that before?
'"
From me and I was ridiculed for the suggestion.
What is a greater worry is the level of competence of the officials - they could soon see a team off.

| Quote Nothus="Nothus"It will simply be the two clubs at the bottom of the table come the end of next season.
To expect us to just carry on with over £500k less funding than everyone else in the league, in such a crucial season for the future of the club, is a complete and utter farce tbh.
It's like Omar said near the start of this season, the SL clubs and their chairmen are just selfish, caring only for the survival of their own side - even to the detriment of the entire sport so it seems. Nobody gives a flying f*ck about anyone but themselves, clearly. They would all sooner take that extra £50k a year than see us given a fair shot.'"
From the T&A
Quote NothusAt yesterday’s meeting, general manager Ryan Whitcut urged the 13 other clubs to relent and allow the Bulls the missing cash as opposed to it being carved up by the rest of Super League for the second year running.
His plea fell on deaf ears'"
The ironic thing is, whilst we won't get the £600,000 during the season, we WILL get £500,000 if we are relegated!

| Quote Bulls4="Bulls4"I think we have to spend the full cap for next season even without the Sky backing. It is going to be make or break next season and if we end up in the bottom 2 next year it will have a massive effect on the team so if you don't spend the money now then it could be worthless spending after you have already gone down.
At the moment I think we will be fighting to avoid the drop next year with Cas and London.
Sorry to say it but I don`t think we will be fighting London, IMO they are already safe, no matter where they finish, Sky won`t let them drop out I believe.

| I think the RFL will be trying to get their ludicrous idea of 2 x12s,then 3 x8s in place
Have you seen what funding each set of 8 gets, now that really is lunacy
Clubs will be going to the wall very soon

| Quote Bulliac="Bulliac"Not sure why it's lunacy from the RFL's perspective, won't they be paying the 'parachute' money out to two clubs [whoever they are anyway. It hardly matters to them who goes out - the cost is the same.'"
Not at all, the RFL know exactly why they need Bradford in the comp, that's one of the reasons we are still in the comp. Eg replace the Bulls with Sheffield - who are top of the Championship, yet drew a crowd of 841 last week - and see how much money [ithat[/i costs the comp over the season. I don't know how many of those paid what, but just for example if you averaged that @ £10 a speccy, that is £8410 x 11 = gate income of £92,510 for a whole 12 team season. Not counting that U16s are free, and many of the 841 would be season ticket holders and others would be OAPS etc paying significantly less. Last time they were in SL except when Leeds or Bradford were in town, they were basically declaring gates bet. 2500 - 3000 - with many gates that happened to be a perfectly round figure, which often happened to be 3000. It didn't work then (Huddersfield-Sheffield, anyone?) and it won't work now.
BTW just to avoid any doubt, I'm not arguing against them, or anyone, being promoted by the rules if the rules are changed. I'm just debunking the theory that from the RFL's perspective it "hardly matters" - little could be further from the truth.

| Logically none of the other clubs will want to level the playing field financially and give us a better chance of surviving at the expense of their own club. I would not expect anything else if we were in their position. As long as nobody will get preferential treatment and it is decided on the field that is all we can ask.

| Somebody posted on T&A website what Sky will say if London finish in bottom 2 next year, will they insist they stay in the top flight. Lets hope the RFL have consulted Sky about this before just doing it then finding out Sky say no
Could be another Peter Hood selling the lease on Odsal to the RFL then the bank calling in the overdraft cos we then had no assets to secure

Brian Carney, employed by Sky and speaking on Sky, seemed quite lukewarm about the need for a London club. Perhaps Sky have finally decided after 17 years of SL that it just isn't going to work at a professional level in the capital? They don't seem to show that many London games these days.
