Why would you think people aren't committe to the cause jus because they are giving a now ex. Colleague their best wishes?
The Kopout and Whitehead situations are completely different. Kopout got his agent to send the club a letter advising the club that he was opting out of transferring his contract to the new company and just didn't bother turning up for the Catalans match despite being selected. His ex team mates felt aggrieved because he find' openly advise them of his plans.
Whitehead handed in a transfer request had an open and honest meeting with his head coach. Spoke to his teammates and due to the timing of it turned out against Hull KR when selected.
I remain disappointed that he chose to bail mid season but it appears he did this reasonably professionally. I just hope this is an isolated case rather than one of many players who don't see their long term future at the club.
Will or can the club now reinvest that cash boost back into the playing squad and begin delivering the promises made when they took over the club? I'm hoping so otherwise I fear we might see more of our promising young players like Bateman getting itchy feed.

As both players share the same vulture/ agent and were both with him a couple of days before Eliot anounced his transfer request i would not be supprised.
