| What like not even did he give mcgoldrick 20 yards he came form other side of field, tackled him which dislodged the ball and caused mcgoldrick to get injured all in one go.
Would have him back in a breath. Could have him and foster wings..kear fb, kearney 6 and sammut 13.

| He was let go last year and can't see that anything has changed.
I'd rather re-sign Platt & see how Naughton goes

| Quote Bulls4Champs="Bulls4Champs"Ainscough? Sorry but no. He tries hard but that alone is not good enough, we need somebody with genuine talent. As for pace? Really, when did he ever use it with us, don't recall him going the lenth or even half the field or beating somebody for pace. Nah, rather keep Foster and Kear.'"
Someone needs to go to specsavers!

| Maybe cos no one ever gave him room to do that he usually got the ball 20m out from their tryline, he isn't going to command a huge fee is he?
And he would be excellent cover if we have this stupid injuries again, we are not going to get any inmensly talented plays as we can't compete on wages with some of the other clubs, we want people who have desire and derermination he has both of those in spades.
It up to the management anyway, its out of our hands.

| We've heard it mentioned quite a few times before now that Platt was offered a pretty good package when he last signed a contract extension.
I'm not sure how much truth there is in this, but if we could save some money on Platt and re-sign Ainscough instead it might free up some cash to spend on other areas of the squad.

| Platt was a starting 13 player when he signed his last deal. He's know a squad player and any new deal offered would reflect that I'd imagine. Suspect we could get ainscough and platt on not much more than we're paying platt alone now. Gives us some reasonable quality cover in backs. Don't think anyone's suggesting either would be a guaranteed starting player. Both squad players IMO

| I`m sorry to say this but for all shaun`s undoubted commitment to the cause there was not a queue of SL clubs trying to sign him, like his alter ego (opposite) Karl Pryce nobody wanted them, Why the hell should we? Just cos he may come cheap is not plausible.

| Ah well, every one to their own opinion. I'll allow others theirs so allow me mine.
Platt is a decent wing and cover for who's worth a renewal on acceptable terms.
Ainscough is lively but ineffectual in both defense and attack (in that order) and was rejected by the club.

| Rejected by the club? We offered him a new deal, he just didn't accept it.
