| I've only recently been sent the Groupon offer so clearly this is only a recent marketing idea, and perhaps one of slight desperation in a last ditch attempt to up the attendance? I mean I'd be well brassed off knowing I'd booked early and paid the full whack, only to then find I could have saved at least 50%!

| Pretty certain concert has been available on normal concert type booking sites for quite a while. Would imagine its standard procedure to try and shift any remaining tickets at a discounted rate in last week before event. If your prepared to wait and buy tickets at last minute you can usually get a bargain. Gamble is you might miss out if event sells out early.

Christ on a bike, it does really, really seem that whatever the Bulls did, and whichever way they did it, someone is gonna whinge about it. Look, if you thought it was worth the price you paid when you paid it, then it was. To you. So WHAT if someone else got it cheaper? If you ever spend some time on this planet, you will find that deals, discounts, sales and the like aren't actually unique to Bulls concerts.

| This thread seems to have become a text book example of the dangers of deflation in the economy. People don't buy because they think the price will drop.
Not my cup of tea 80's music - but for several hours entertainment by live musicians at seems reasonable value, and as f*****g Helen Mirren, our beloved f****g Queen pointed out recently you pay £100 for a London theatre ticket.

On a pedantic note - wasn't Elvis dead by the eighties, unless you mean Elvis Costello, I think he was still around in the eighties?

Must agree with that.
It does depend on just what floats your particular boat of course, and like you, I'm far from being an 'eighties fan' in general but every era has its aficionados so if you like the artists concerned it's good value and you can't knock the concept.

Wife's just got back from Morrisons and he was in front of her in the queue just after Lord Lucan. He then rode off on Shergar in the direction of Idle......
