| That 93-94 season was jam-packed with fantastic memories - such a shame it wasn't topped by toppling Wigan.
Aforementioned Watson interception at Oldham
Brimah wonder-try against Fev at Odsal
Gerry scoring against Wigan and no one knowing about it because the fog had descended.
The VP classic against Leeds with Roy's Inspector Gadget arm.
Fax putting three men on Newlove and Steve McGowan getting a hat-trick on the wing outside him as a result.
Winning in the bear-pit at Post Office Road with Newlove as waterboy
The fantastic win at Wilderspool to establish us as serious title contenders, featuring the Fox-Watson trick kick
The comeback at Don Valley after David Fraisse (!) ripped us apart in the first half
Newlove's miracle in the mud against Cas
Beating Wigan 10-6 at Odsal in front of 14,000
Putting about 100 points on Leeds in a fortnight
Think Bradford Northerm - Quest for Glory might be the first video season review the club did, well worth a watch if you can track down a copy. Cheers for the memories, Peter. Would love to watch a bit of the 91-92 season - the bit you managed, Burnden Park excluded...

| Happy birthday Peter.
The premiership win at Swinton is a big highlight alongside the great escape.
What season was it when we played the great Wigan side in the CC semi and defended all second half? Roger Simpson scored to bring us back to a score down and then Medders was held up an inch short. Even though we lost it was brilliant.
Great coach and always a good interview.

| 91-93: lost to Wigan twice at Elland Road, each time narrowly.

Remember being at Central park and foolishly going into the Wigan end. They told us we were ok to go in there, as long as we shouted for Wigan. We equalised early on, but then got hammered for the rest of the game. Still only lost the title on points diff after Wigan beat Oldham on the last day of the season.
Wire were in the joint run up. They played in the green and white stripes that year with Johnathon Davies and Greg Mackey in the halves. Think Newey got 40+ tries that year...with such legends as Watto, Konkrete, Big Roy Powell and Jesus McGowan

| Happy birthday Foxy.So many great memories. But salvaging Hanley and putting him on the straight and narrow was one.Getting the best out of Stephenson,Wolford,Austin,Marston,Idle and the master stroke of getting Casey to Odsal for a then world record fee and putting him in that famous pack with Grayshon et al were others.
All the best. The FOX years were great.

I remember an interview in the Steam Pig with Foxy that covered that period. According to him there was a fallout between him and some of the board. I still find it bizarre that we let him go then when he was at the peak of his powers. His successor Seabourne didn't do anywhere near as well despite having a pile of cash from the Hanley sale and the likes of Woods, Ford, Hobbs, Fairbank, Harkin, Noble etc under him. It was like having McNamara take over from Noble.
