Not sure if we will be in the top four at the end of the season but for most of the game we actually looked like a team which deserves to be near the top - kept the shape well, restricted the top scoring team in the league to two tries, some nice sustained handling moves, and a good team spirit.
The only thing which was a bit disappointing was the size of the crowd, with very few away fans. After last year's crisis - small gates and the inept "fire-sale" in the store just make me hope our old friend the "cash flow" isn't a problem again.'"
My first thoughts about the sale was that probably the new leisure wear had finally come in and they want to clear the decks?
As for the match, it was a good win against a side who have shown decent form recently and been scoring plenty of points. Great to see Purts back and definitely good to see some top notch performances from several players, too many to mention, which is terrific to be able to say that.
Hopefully, if our home form remains largely positive, and the weather gets a bit better/warmer the size of the crowd will take care of itself. There's no doubt, those who choose not to come are missing a treat.
