Quote: DenisJ "Well i didn't see how he can complain. He played 18 games out of 29, according to Super League website. Kear played 9, Crookes 13 and Purtell 10. So that's more than any of the other wingers in the side. Crookes has been signed by another super league Club, so he must be better and if Purtell had been fit he would have played in every game. So Ainscough can think himself lucky he made- according to you- £9k. If that's all he was on no wonder he was struggling. The only times that I can see him being selected was when there was no one else available. You talk about 60 point thrashings but if I remember correctly in Ainscough's last game the Bulls conceded 70!! And he was responsible for at least 30 of those points. The only time he was dropped was for the last game and that was because he was very poor against Hull. Nice lad, just not good enough or he'd have been signed, like Crookes, by another club.'"
Or maybe he waited to look for another club when your allowed to. Unlike Crookes who jumped ship way back before he got injured. If he'd have waited any longer doubt if he would have got a club either.
