Saving 158 jobs? Even adding in every junior player - at all levels - I can't see 158 jobs at the Bulls. There are a quite few involved on Matchday, but stewards, probably the biggest single group, would be employed by Showsec (or whoever), the catering is on a concession basis (except the bars), the loveables probably don't get paid!! - where are they all?

I don't think he did himself any favours with his communication - espcially with the staff - but lets face it we would never have had to put up with an administrator if it hadn't been for the previous owner/managers. These guys are never going to be top of any popularity chart and while I am not sure how closely he was involved in the final negotiations from my prospective the position we find ourselves in now is several times better than I feared would be the case early in the summer. So whatever you want to say about him - it wasn't him who put us in the smelly stuff and we could be in a much worse situation now.

Theres definitely a bit of PR speak here. per the last published accounts the stadium staff numbered 80+ whereas VP was about 30. The way I have always looked at it is that Odsal is a black hole facility and staff cost wise, and so for the long term future we are better off without it as it is. But where he can correctly make a claim is that no young proven quality players were sold, which would have been the easiest short term fix for him.
