I think when we had Asics it wasn't a case of 'just needing one sponsor' but more of a quick fix when Compaq pulled out after a corporate decision to stop backing individual clubs and go for whole sports (like F1) for more publicity. IIRC, Compaq had and option for a third year but, somewhat late in the day, didn't take it up which left the club in a bit of a bind.

Whilst hoops are traditional, it does not help those of us with large midrifts!!!
