I don't think there's much point putting an appeal into the NRL panel. They've judged that he is a biter, despite his protestations of innocence.

If his good name is worth that much to him - he could really burn his bridges in the NRL for good and take his case to the courts. Not been done before. Would probably lose him his job & cost a lot of money. Would change the burden of proof. Would allow a lot more evidence to be heard. Slater would be present.

It'll be interesting to see the report. It may just be media slant but he seems to have been deemed guilty before he stepped before the NRL panel. It was just a formality to go through before he could be hit with a 12 match ban - when the previous bite ban was only 8 matches.

Poor quality trolls aspire to a banning so they can blame the Mods. Much better to let them suffer a 'Varking or an Accounting for a few days, they always retreat under the bridge. It's good sport for us as well.

I suspect some of them aren't the old-fashioned, fluffy sort which get squashed though. The more recent variety seem to be composed of a hard rubber which just bounces back unabashed. I do suspect that, rather than simply resilience, it may be due to a lack of understanding when it comes to words of more than two syllables or even four or five letters..

Funnily enough, I was never a supporter of the rope but as time passes I guess it may have its uses.
