Like most (I suspect) who have had the task of answering the phone to customers, I've disseminated my employers spin to the best of my ability, and managed to live with myself by inwardly saying, it's just an alternative point of view rather than probably not true. My only consolation is that I've always (apart from a short period in the eighties) kept a job.
