Yeah I saw that, seems odd if we haven't offered him another deal. I can't see him being too expensive and we don't have too many wingers in our paper thin squad as it is. Ah well, just wait and see what comes out in the wash I suppose.

Burrell is described as a utility player by his agent, and the KR website as as an ex 6 that is tough enough to be a utility hooker/L forward.

I would expect Ainscough to be offered a new deal as i know for a fact Omar likes him, but Franny is the one who has the final say, so who knows.

This may just be a rumour but we were linked with Scruton, which came as a surprise to most Widnes fans, I think mainly because he has been out injured for a while so was off everyone's "radar".
All gone a bit quiet, so it may be nothing. Given that he is under contract any such deal would have to be done with the Bulls agreement and involve some sort of fee (unless you are just trying to offload a player who has spent too long on the treatment table). Thanks WViking. Thats ironic given hes the only prop left in the 16 not out of contract, but the other issue is whether hes going to get back up to his previous best form following the shoulder operation. If his goes like Discos recovery went then fine hes going nowhere

Fielden has been a rumour i've heard. Watched him in 20s against Leeds and he didn't look good at all, but he's had alot of time out and maybe with a pre season his experience could be something we need. Only on right money though.

Think recruitment wise props and a 6 will be priority. Think we still have the makings of a decent squad but we will definitely need a few replacements.

Fielden fits the experienced player profile mentioned in the press release recently (definitely not a young loan!) and fits the commitment profile too, but as you say does he fit the bill?
