I shall be shot at from lots of angles for my following comment , but ..

There are very few teams that could fill the void left if Bulls were booted out of SL . All those teams are already in SL . How could a team from a lower league be expected to replace the Bulls ?
The Bulls are (maybe currently not on the field ) one of the top four teams in SL .They are without a doubt definitely one of the biggest and best supported RL teams in this country .

Time to move on .

But the fact remains that a club should have been given the chance to "fill the void" why have the lower leagues then?

Woo hoo! What a surprise, (tongue in cheek there) Seriously, Bulls are an integral part of Super League, and have been since day 1. It's not just biased emotion to say, that the travelling army of fans Bulls take around super league, would have been a serious loss of revenue for other clubs, and I hope Omar and his consortium really give us something to cheer about. Just so sorry Mick Potter won't be with us. Bitter sweet day.

Absolutely agree, we were the first club to embrace the Super League era and are one of biggest brands in the game.

Half the teams in Super League are there having been promoted from the league below.

The Bulls (well OK, Northern) used to be in division 2 at one time - there you go, our bona fides..

My was in the context of Bradford as a city...I'd assume you'd realised that but was trying a sly dig!
Thr relevance was in the self pity that various Bulls fans are wallowing in....And again I assume you understood that too.

I'll confess there is an element of guarded pessimism in many posts, probably including my own, but I'm not sure where you get the "self pity" or "wallowing" from, to be honest; more like attempts to make realistic assessments of the direction the immediate future may be heading in?

I think after the season we've had it's fairly natural to be a bit wary of over optimism and expecting too much and whilst Omar is fabulously wealthy (compared to me!) he's no Roman Obramovitch as he's admitted in the local press, so the 'sanctions' (loss of a chunk RFL/Sky monies) are going to bite, make no mistake.

Btw, 4k+ posts is just on this board but I do post elsewhere too - though this is since C1999, when I first learned the wonder of msg boards, so it's taken a while to get up that total, and I can only stare in wonderment at the amount [isome[/i spend on here!

Since your posting rate is only about 25% more than his, I find it hard to see what point he is seeking to make?
