Doesn't advancement in the play-offs trigger higher prize monies to the club? If so, I guess that would cover it.

I know the monies paid for winning the comp, can be given to the players as a bonus, and it also doesn't count towards the cap.....

Not sure about the play off money though!

think any extra from the playoffs will likely mean that the RFL/SLE will have to advance less to pay the monthly bills

Unless the player's contracts specify how much comes to them as a "win bonus".

I'm not thinking about the money going to the players as a bonus, more along the lines that it's income for the club and they could then afford to pay the wages anyway. They could have an incentive bonus in their contracts though..
