A little pointer for everyone. BCFC are holding a fans forum tonight at Valley Parade which will include joint-chairman Mark Lawn (be warned, hes a bit gobby). There will be a fair bit of City related stuff with the manager Phil Parkinson also attending and the season starting on Saturday, but might be worth a listen given this has come out today.

So how many extra bids are they expecting ? or are they just suggesting that they dont really want to accept this one?

It would appear that there is considerable interest in the #BradfordBulls with up to 5 interested parties. Deadline is 12noon tomorrow.

That last tweet should of ended with "deadline 12 noon tomorrow, to submit unconditional bids only"

Yet on the link for the rfl the deadline suggests 5pm.
5 bidders one would presume the SLE is still on table along with a bradford city bid, maybe abc will return with super league status been possible if they pay off debts.

Fully agree that it's not right that that these things happen, but (to use the famous quote) [i"you cannot be serious[/i" in believing Bradford are in any way setting a [iprecedent[/i, either for RL or for sport in general, as this was done years ago. You could have us for using a cliché, perhaps?

Incidentally, if, as has been suggested, this latest bid pays off the debts, aren't we due a rebate from the six points deducted? Down to the Wakey level at least, I would have thought.

Not really, it just says that " the Board has asked that all interested parties submit their expressions of interest by 5.00pm on Friday August 10"

An "expression of interest" is worth less than even a conditional offer, and is a seven day camel ride short of an actual concrete and unconditional offer, accompanied by the list of bumf of participants, directors, funding detailsetc which the RFL have made clear they must have to consider any bid.

Translating into plain english the marketing double-speak expression "up to 5" means 2 - so not quite a bid frenzy yet, and the use of the word "deadline" in this context also has a rather more flexible meaning than in general usage.

If BCFC or anyone else for that matter submit suitable bids and have the business plan to back up their proposal then Bulls could theoretically stay in SL if they are able to meet the criteria.

Whereas the SLE bid seems to suggest that at the end of the season we will be in CH and possibly the RFL can save face by saying this was the plan all along, but if someone else buys us then the RFL will get slagged off by everyone instead as they have gone above and beyond for us compared to pther clubs

Said on Sky that the two companies would remain separate and that the Bulls would continue to play at Odsal. What's in it for BCFC?
