Surely any SL team could invent some financial disaster circumstances in order for a loan out for players wages etc... It's extension after extension after extension and nothing's come of them except "Mickey Mouse" offers from consortiums with no real idea. Scrap this era of the Bradford Bulls and start afresh and work the way back up the ladder.

Does the rfl money being used to pay the players have to be paid back. If not that surely affects rfl profits and the share of those profits to all the other clubs. Getting silly IMO. Also very embarrassing for our once great game.

Be more embarrassing - no, in fact make that shameful - if the RFL didn't use some of its profits to support clubs in trouble.

As far as I'm aware the money is not 'the rfl money', its an advance of the club's Sky payments.

The money is advances of the Sky money. And so, once it is gone it is gone. That presumably means sod all income after the end of the playing season, so making any solution thereafter even harder. All poiunts to me to the RFL ensuring that a Bulls team - of whatever composition - completes the season. After that...well tomorrow is another day, and some other clubs might be dusting off and updating their last Licence applications at short order.

I have my own views on why the RFL are acting as they are. And, in those, far from vilifying the RFL I hold the view that they are probably acting in the overall best interests. But I'll keep my own counsel for now - those who know me know what I think. Truth will out anyway, eventually.

When the truth finally does enter the public domain - expect some people to be held accountable for their unscrupulous actions.

Ultimately the Rugby Football League genuinely are looking after the Bradford Bulls vested interests.
They share the same belief, that they want the club governed by people who actively hold the clubs best interests at heart.

I know absolutely nothing about whats going on and have no agenda re the Bulls; however the above posts, from people who seem to know what they are talking about, add more pieces to the jigsaw than most posts I have seen on here over the last several weeks. Hope you guys make it and if it has to be in a lower division, then so be it, I am sure you will thrive.

This great institution will be 150 years old next year. And, if that means celebrating the 150th year of Rugby in Bradford, by being in the Championship - governed by people who genuinely care about the club.

I can live with the consequences of an acceptable reprieve.
