The council still own the old hospital site? For certain? Thats ok then. I had a vague memory it had already been given over/first optioned to a developer (for housing) whilst we were all still excited about the £70m plan of a few years ago
Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark":31r5ymf4Yes but there ain't a cat in hell's that the new lot have anything remotely like that in mind.'"

I'm glad you agree on me on this. I only brought it up as an extension of my question on whether the council still own the old hospital site.

Again I'm glad you agree with me on this

Don't know why you decided to bring up an agenda?

I though my use of "the Coral stand by itself" after discussing the Odsal site would clearly mean it's use as a separate business (An Indian restaurant/function suite with paying guests ) from the rest of the site.
You seem to have literally thought my meaning was an empty building standing alone. Which is an odd thought.
Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark":31r5ymf4The uses to which it is put might. I did ask elsewhere when somebody put that they thought it was "underused" as a resource, what they meant; does anybody know how much it is used? I haven't any reason to think that the Bulls marketing have been failing to seize the day. Of course, Akbar & Co. could indeed have a more intensive plan to use the Coral Stand that would bring in much more money, but I don't think it necessarily follows. I mean, we were even on the Prime Minister's radar when they had the secret meeting up there, so marketing can't exactly have been doing that bad a job.
If I were a business consortium with a £1.25m budget for new corporate entertainment facilities then I think I could do better than spend that on a sublease at Odsal.'"

The Aagrah midpoint cost £4m or so. I would assume they will be wanting to target the same type of business.
Quote Ferocious Aardvark="Ferocious Aardvark":31r5ymf4Based on what? The new owners settling for a team which is crap?
I'm not sure I follow that. Surely any incoming new tenant, given they would either be a tenant, would want to keep everything on-site with a view to maximising use of the site? Would using the Coral Stand for hospitality in an otherwise defunct stadium be sensible? Or have I misunderstood your meaning?'"
This bit - I was trying to tie it all together. Best case scenario would be the new owner keeping the Bulls at Odsal and using the (Restaraunt) profits to subsidise the team to some extent.
Worst case would be selling (or just moving) the team to VP and slowly developing Odsal in stages.
I was just trying to work out the various impediments to worst case scenario...
