| If he had kept them all on unpaid, he would still have to sack them as if there is a 'white knight' they he could not afford to pay them or pay them off. Now they are sacked. Any white knight does not have to pay them.
If they had waited till after the London match it would only mean asking them to do the job for nothing and then sacking them. Which is worse sacked today, or sacked next week after volunteering for a week???
It's fine saying it's bad form and not what they deserved, but in the end if this is Caisley's plan, he does not want to buy the club as is, or cannot afford to buy the club as is. If someone else could then now is their chance. It may well seam underhand, but if the 'White knight' came in now, but did not have the funds to pay or pay off the staff, Bradford would surely just run out of money again.
What I don't quiet get is why they were kept on until today. If they could not be afforded today, then they could not be afforded last week either?

Because he is getting paid to make both sides of the equation equal.
Income = Expenditure
If he was not getting paid he would not do it. Someone else would. If they could not pay and administrator, then god knows what would happen, I'm sure Adey might know but I don't.

| I guess he might get shot of those out of contract this year as they have nil asset value, those on longer deals will have a transfer value so I assume they will stay - one player who I'd like to shake his hand and say thanks on the OOC list is Elima - gave his all every match - memory of his last game and that tackle on Hock will stay in the memory a long time. Good luck guys

Simples. They were needed to keep the club going last week. Can't be sacking off the people actually doing the hard work till the last possible minute.

HMRC would have petitioned for the compulsory liquidation of the company, bank accounts would have been automatically frozen. Doors locked, contracts void, end of the line.
Admninistration was the only way of protecting the Bulls from HMRC.

But like you say this is not the last minute. How much do you recon it would take to buy the club out of liquidation or do you not think it will get that far?
If the administrator has to get best value for creditors, then surely the only asset value post liquidation is the physical costs of selling parts of the ground that the bulls still own as the players value will be zero when liquidated as the club will not own them.
