Surely the same 10k fans paying proper season ticket prices rather than slashed ticket prices will create the revenue needed. I think 10k fans is the commonly held number quoted for a break even on finances at a SL club. Obviously there will be degrees of up and down on this according to costs at each club, but you would imagine most clubs have a similar set of expenditures, given the salary cap limits player wages and that in essense the rest of the staff should be pretty similar, ie coach, conditioner etc.
I can't recall the cost of a saints adult season ticket just now, but I think the cheapest option was pushing £200. What was the cheapest adult season ticket for Bradford this year? When you add the difference per ticket then I imagine that would make quite a difference to revenues.'"
Why another 5000, a few points:
1) Without a sugar daddy we need a bigger gate to be competitive.
2) More through the gates attracts more sponsors.
3) Linked to my first point more fans means you can keep the ticket prices down.
4) Not likely a SL licence would be denied a team with gates over 15000
Medium term the biggest issue for the club and no easy answers though a good team certainly helps
